Trapped in the Shadows

All my life, lived in a dark shadow
With pain, anger I couldn’t swallow
Walking in circles with no clue
Even the sky, wasn’t anymore blue
Life kept in changing day after day
Surrounded by moral debts, that I couldn’t pay
I prayed every day to my one and only God
To save my life and purify my blood
God looked through my heart
I wanted a new start
I wondered what he saw
But to him I won’t ever stop to bow
My life started to change
And step by step, I flew out of my cage
Now, everyone knows
I’m no longer trapped in the shadows
