I hope that you are enjoying with your sumer vacation, unlike me

Today i brought for you a beautiful story about the meaning of life, or should I say The purpose of life

NOW LET THE SHOW BEGIN

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee,
the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee ,and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic , glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said:
If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life We live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us. ' God brews the coffee, not the cups.....Enjoy your coffee! '
The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.'

Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God.
You are the miracle, my friend,
Your life either shines a light - or casts a shadow.

أحب أضع ترجمة هذه القصة إلى العربي والتي وجدتها مصادفة ^^ لكن لاحظت أن فيها إضافات جميلة أعجبتني فقلت لم لا أعرض الترجمة فلربما هناك من وجد صعوبة في فهم هذه القصة

من التقاليد الجميلة في الجامعات والمدارس الثانويةالأمريكية

أن خريجيها يعودون اليها بين الحينوالآخر

في لقاءات لم شمل ويتعرفون على أحوال بعضهمالبعض

ونالوا أرفع المناصب وحققوا الاستقرار الماديوالاجتماعي

وبعد عبارات التحية والمجاملة

طفق كل منهم يتأفف من ضغوط العمل

والحياة التي تسبب لهم الكثير منالتوتر

ثم عاد يحمل أبريقا كبيرا منالقهوة، ومعه أكوابمن كل شكل ولون

أكواب صينية فاخرة

أكواب ميلامين

أكواب زجاج عادي

أكواب بلاستيك

وأكواب كريستال

فبعض الأكواب كانت فيمنتهىالجمال

تصميماً ولوناً وبالتالي كانتباهظةالثمن

بينما كانت هناك أكواب من النوع الذي تجده فيأفقر البيوت

: قالالأستاذ لطلابه

تفضلوا ، و ليصب كل واحد منكم لنفسهالقهوة

وعندما بات كل واحد من الخريجين ممسكا بكوب تكلمالأستاذ مجددا

هل لاحظتم ان الأكواب الجميلة فقط هي التيوقع عليها اختياركم

وأنكم تجنبتم الأكواب العادية؟؟؟

ومن الطبيعي ان يتطلع الواحد منكم الى ما هوأفضل

وهذا بالضبط ما يسبب لكمالقلق والتوتر

ما كنتم بحاجة اليه فعلا هوالقهوة وليس الكوب

ولكنكم تهافتم على الأكواب الجميلةالثمينة

و بعد ذلكلاحظت أن كل واحدمنكم كان

مراقباً للأكواب التي فيأيدي الآخرين

فلو كانتالحياةهيالقهوة

فإنالوظيفة والمالوالمكانةالاجتماعيةهيالأكواب

وهي بالتالي مجرد أدوات ومواعين تحويالحياةونوعية الحياة (القهوة) تبقى نفسهالا تتغير

و عندما نركز فقط على الكوب فإننا نضيع فرصةالاستمتاع بالقهوة

وبالتاليأنصحكم بعدمالاهتمام بالأكواب والفناجين

وبدل ذلكأنصحكم بالاستمتاعبالقهوة

في الحقيقة هذهآفةيعاني منها الكثيرون

فهناك نوع من الناسلا يحمداللهعلى ما هو فيه

: مهما بلغ من نجاح

لأنه يراقب دائماما عندالآخرين

يتزوج بامرأة جميلة وذات خلق

ولكنه يظل معتقدا ان غيره تزوج بنساء أفضل منزوجته

يجلس مع مجموعة في المطعم ويطلب لنفسهنوعا

معينا من الطعام

وبدلا من الاستمتاع بما طلبه فإنه يظل مراقباًلأطباق

الآخرين ويقول : ليتني طلبت ما طلبوه
