The piece of Islam Asalamu Alykum Warahmu Allah Wabarkatuh
This the third topic of me in this forum and it shouldn't take too long
to go to this topic and in here we going to giving some Arabic proverbs that is translated into English and I hope to be useful
so let's start

Be ware of the level-headed when he is angry

اتق شر الحليم إذا غضب


Avoid the company of a liar. And if you can't avoid him, don't believe him

اجتنب مصاحبة الكذاب فإن اضطررت إليه فلا تُصَدِّقْهُ


With the absence of real men there is no use for the swords

وما نفع السيوف بلا رجال


The wound of words is worse than the wound of swords

جرح الكلام أعمق من جرح السيوف


Don't eat your bread on someone else's table

لا تأكل خبزك على مائدة غيرك


who ate the sultans raisins will pay it back as a date

من أكل للسلطان زبيبة ردها تمرة


If your beloved was honey, don’t lick all of him

إن كان محبوبك عسل لا تلحسه كله


The hand of a free man is a scale

يد الحر ميزان


Stretch your legs as far as your quilt allows

على قدر لحافك مد رجليك


the trip of the foot is better than the trip of the tongue

عثرة القدم أسلم من عثرة اللسان


the scar of the tongue is like the scar of the hand

وَجُرْحُ اللسان كَجُرْحِ اليد


the safety of a human is in the sweetness of his tongue

سلامة الإنسان في حلاوة اللسان


the tongue of the ignorant is the key to his death

لسان الجاهل مفتاح حتفه


Out of sight , out of mind (This is an English proverb as well)s

البعيد عن العين بعيد عن القلب


The belly never gives birth to an enemy

البطن لا تلد عدواً


The sleep of a tyrant is worship

نوم الظالم عبادة


Evil lasts an hour, and truth lasts till the Hour (the end of time or the Judgment Day )u

جولة الباطل ساعة وجولة الحق إلى قيام الساعة


The envious of a blessing is not satisfied except by its loss.

eحاسد النعمة لا يرضيه إلا زوالها


he envious see the loss of your blessing as a blessing

الحاسد يرى زوال نعمتك نعمة عليه


Joking takes away status and awe, and breeds resentment

المزاحة تذهب المهابة وتورث الضغينة


Of misfortune's evils is what makes one laugh

شر البلية ما يضحك


At the hour of judgment, there is no escape

إذا حان القضاء ضاق الفضاء


The mistake of the scientist leads to mistakes by many people

إذا زل العالِمُ زل بزلته عالَمٌ


If you hear a person talking good about things that aren't in you, don't be sure that he wouldn't also say bad things about things that aren't in you

إذا سمعت الرجل يقول فيك من الخير ما ليس فيك فلا تأمن أن يقول فيك من الشر ما ليس فيك


Send a wise man and don't advise him

أرسل حكيما ولا توصه


Forgetting is the plague of knowledge

آفة العِلْم النسيان


A mosquito can make the lion's eye bleed

إن البعوضة تُدْمي مُقْلةَ الأسد


Good health is a crown on the heads of the healthy that only the ill can see

الصحة تاج على رؤوس الأصحاء لا يراه إلا المرضى (قول علي بن أبي طالب)


your brother is that who consoles you

إن أخاك من واساك


If you're a wind then I'm a hurricane

إن كنت ريحا فقد لاقيت إعصارا


Doing wrong to relatives is more harmful than a sword

ظلم الأقارب أشد وقعا من السيف


Thought he was a great catch, turns out he is a shackle

حسبه صيدا فكان قيدا


In haste there is regret and in taking time there is peace/safety

في العجلة الندامة و في التأني السلامة

Winds blow counter to what ships desire

تجري الرياح بما لا تشتهي السفن

wealth comes like a tortuous and goes like a gazelle

الثروة تأتي كالسلحفاة وتذهب كالغزال

When the reason is known, wonder has flown

إذا عُرِفَ السبب بطل العجب

More famous than a fire on a pole

أشهر من نار على عَلَمِ

i do not know it English will understand this proverbs
because they use different proverbs
for example(call a spade a spade) do u understood this proverb???

This just was written in English translated from Arabic
,So they might be vague or unclear with the real meaning but some of them you can understand the meaning directly
