Hi There
I'd like to present you my new topic which is about learning new vocabularies
as you have known from the title of topic, we all love to learn new English words to enrich our knowledge
but problem is we don't oblige, so what are we going to do
is these steps for make this learning a beautiful game

Determine new five words everyday for keeping them
Write these words on a small paper and read it over and over again through the day
And for more obligation and enjoyable I put this topic to share me your words and all members too
when you learn something alone you find it difficult and boring perhaps
but when you learn with a group and participate and write what you learn
you'll find it more enjoyable beside writing prints what you learn deeply inside the mind

Keeping 5 words everyday means 35 words in a week, and 150 words in a month nearly
this's awesome don't you agree? browse websites like bbc to catch new vocabularies or read a novel or newspaper or anything else you can find your own way i'm sure
enjoy and get started

My New Words are

Dispute = نزاع
Spat = مشاحنة, شجار
Crackdown = حملة, قمع
deliberately = بتعمد
autonomy = الحكم الذاتي

and as I mentioned up there I'll write them on a paper to read them repeatedly through the day until I determine new ones next day and so on

Hello Schwert

nice to find a new topic and new idea here :)

at my previous English class , I had to memorize five words per day
but when I finished the course I stopped doing that
because as you said we need to be oblige
"oblige one of the words i memorized there :) "
so i am happy to start again here
and we can make a
competition or quiz

in the end of every month about words we memorized if you like that ...

so i'll start with my first five words

invoke : to request or recall something
استدعاء
ex: The police invoked the witness in the murder case

manipulation: controlling someone or something on your advantage
تلاعب او معالجة
ex: the program manipulates the files on the PC

surrender : to stop fighting and admit defeat
استسلام او خضوع
ex: the army would rather die than surrender

bitter: describe angry and unhappy
مرير
ex: he felt bitter because her wife left him

sullen:angry and gloomy
حاقد ومتجهم
he had sullen expression on his face after his boss fired him

مسدس
ex: he killed the man with his pistol

fatal: deadly
مميت
ex: your mistake was fatal so you get fired

timber: wood ,lumber
خشب
ex: this table is made from timber

bow:arc
قوس
ex: after the rain you can see the rainbow

accusation: when you said that someone did something wrong
اتهام
ex: he had an accusation of murder

ur suggestion is beautiful and I will add it to the topic
it's nice to be a test for what we have kept from words
and for those who don't participate everyday or they miss a day to keep words in it
that's ok and no problem you'll be tested just for words who you have kept only

tentative = مؤقت

may be there will be a winners and gifts for those who get the highest marks in the test

for members who participate here
we will gather every Friday at 08:30PM to start the test of the words we have kept
the available time for answering is 5 minuts
the test stars at the time I specified and you'll see your words who you have shared here in the comment num2 but in a random arrangment
and you have to write its meaning in arabic in a new comment before the 5mints are finished namely 06:35

there will be another test every month in the words that you have kept throught a month

but the test will be about the words that we shared or the words on the comment no 2 that you shared before?

Meaning:
اقتراب ،نهج
To come near and nearer to smth or someone
Example:
As I approached the house,I noticed a light on upstairs.

meaning:
يفترض يخّمن
To think that smth is true
example:
I didn't see your car,so I assumed you had gone out

Authority
Meaning:
سلطة نفوذ ،خبير
: official organization or local government department which controls puplic affairs, provides public services,
Example:

Decide,fix,Quailty of somthing
