really you're right , basiclly when i join the cometition the first thing comes to my mind is practice different skills in English with my dear friends here , and to win or not .. really it isn't important coz once you get into that competition you will learn and do many things In English and you will get out at the end as a winner coz you win learning new different things even if you weren't winner....
Yes ..my writing skill Isn't that much ,it needs to be developed..especially stories , to tell the truth It's my first time to get into competitions here...and ^_^I will do my best
