السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
الحقيقة أن الفرق في المعنى سيوضحه لك زمن الجملة ببساطة
(مع العلم أن كلاهما صحيح وقد يأتي عادي كما ذكرت دون تكملة)
فـ I do my job
is a present simple tense
which means it could (like here) refer to a lasting action or a fact that repeats like always or so
so, this will mean that he's saying "I always do my job" or "I do my job properly" or so
as for...
I am doing my job
it's a present continuous tense
which means that the action started some time before and is still going to the minute of speech
so, it will mean something like "I am doing my job right now"l
or the adding of "am" to the sentence, could also mean confirmation in some cases
like if someone is saying suspectly "do you really do your job?" so he'll answer " I AM doing my job!"l
hope this answers your question, and that it was clear enough
(لو كان الشرح بالإنجليزية غير مفهوم لك، أخبريني وأعيد لك الشرح )

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
How can I know disperse between since and for, please explain Arabic and give me example
thanks in advance
|
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
Since = منذ
For = لمدة
I think that explains a lot ^^"
I'll try to explain in arabic as you requested
نستخدم الكلمة Since إذا أردنا نذكر تاريخ أو وقت بداية الحدث
Example
.He has been here since 9am -
- إنه هنا منذ الساعة 9 صباحاً.
.I had lived in Khobar since my childhood -
- لقد سكنت في مدينة الخبر منذ طفولتي.
لاحظ أننا ذكرنا تاريخ أو وقت بداية الحدث وليس المدة
بينما الكلمة For نستخدمها إذا أردنا ذكر مدة استمرار الحدث
Example
.They study for two hours every day -
- إنهم يدرسون لمدة ساعتين يومياً.
I worked at that bank for five years -
- لقد عملت في ذلك البنك لمدة 5 سنوات.
لاحظ هنا أننا ذكرنا مدة الحدث وليس تاريخ ووقت بدايته
أتمنى أن يكون ذلك قد ساهم في إيصال المعلومة..
ويرجى من غيري التصحيح إن كان هنالك خطأ..

'been' is the past participle of the verb to be (is am are)
I have been damascus five years ago
it come by meaning of visit

active sentence : we have studied english for a long time
passive sentence :english has been studied for along time

|
hmmm ....what's the diffrent between can and could?
becuse i think we use can in the present and could in the past
am i right or not?...just to be sure
|
Hey sano
Could is in the past actually it's the past of can ^-^
but when you ask it's OK to choose any
EG::
Can you get me some milk ?!
Could you get me some milk ?
they are both right ^0^
I hope that I helped ^-^
|
^^^^^^^^^
to be precise, "can" is about possibility or ability
but "could" is used for permission, and "could" can also be used as a past tense of "can" .. hope that made sense
|
^_^ yep i get it now ...thank you very much
ضع هذه الكلمات < sports

Could is more respectable than can

مالذي يحتاجه الشخص ليكون مدققاً بارعاً في اللغه الانكليزيه؟
هل يكفي أن يعرف القواعد وأما المعاني فيستطيع الاستعانه بالقواميس
أظن هذا، لكني أنتظر رأي الخبراء
